Almonds are forever!

We’ve had a lot of people get in touch to say they found our previous blog – ‘Let’s go nuts for nuts!’ – a great reminder of how good for us nuts can be.

Notwithstanding those who have a nut allergy, nuts can be extremely rich and there are certain ones that offer particular nutrients and vitamins, whether eaten as a snack or part of your cooking and baking regime.

So the last time you encountered an almond, where was it? Sitting pretty atop an apple cake? All neatly sliced and sprinkled?

Or perhaps you favour the savoury route and poured ground almonds into your never-from-a-jar curry?

Almonds are brilliant and here’s why:

They are packed with nutrients and vitamins to help support a healthy lifestyle. Of its 80 plus nutrients, those key to good health include:

I’m really tempted to sum up the virtues of the almond by using the phrase: in a nut shell.
