Cocoa & Chilli - Seasonal Edition (Tisane for Winter Indulgence)

"Dark, bittersweet and spicy"

Cocoa & Chilli is a grown up hot chocolate brew with a chilli kick. This blends packs an antioxidant punch and will keep you warm through the frosty months. All the ingredients are 100% natural and and contain no artificial preservatives, colourings or flavourings.

This tisane is available (for a limited time only) loose in packs of approximately 3 cups, 20 cups, 40 cups and 60 cups.

All of our Holly Botanic products are designed and hand-made on site in small batches, using cruelty-free, non-GMO ingredients.

Ingredients and Benefits of our Cocoa & Chilli Tisane

  • Cacao nibs are peeled, fermented and crushed cocoa beans. They contain very high levels of antioxidants and have a dark chocolate flavour.
  • Cocoa husks are roasted and packed with nutrients and antioxidants as well as a delicate chocolate aroma. As a by-product they are usually discarded, but we don't believe in waste!
  • Ancho chillies are Mexican and their sweet and smoky favour is perfectly paired with chocolate. Chillies also contain antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Coconut milk powder gives a creamy, sweet depth to the blend and is highly nutritious. It even boasts anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.
  • Chocolate malt is a roasted barley with deep, bittersweet coffee and chocolate flavours. Commonly used in porter and stout brewing, malt can boost heart health and help lower cholesterol.
  • Stevia leaf is naturally sweet and can even help lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

Instructions

To make an infusion, steep 1-2 teaspoons of loose tisane in boiling water for 5-15 minutes, then strain and sip. Drink up to 3 cups a day. Cover while infusing.

To make a decoction, simmer 1-2 teaspoons of loose tisane per cup in gently boiling water using a saucepan (with a lid) for 20 minutes. Strain and drink up to three cups a day.


* Holly's Tip * Try adding a touch of peppermint or vanilla to this blend.
