Devon Wildlife Trust
With Your Help
With your help we are delighted to be able to offer a monthly donation to this wonderful charity helping to care and protect nature and wildlife in this beautiful part of the world.
Who Are Devon Wildlife Trust?
They are the only charity that exists to protect Devon's wildlife and natural environment. Their work includes caring for nature reserves, conservation projects, urban projects, bringing back species and campaigning for better protection of marine life.
Devon Wildlife Trust work with communities, helping farmers and land owners to manage their land for the benefit of the wild.
The urban projects are designed to engage with and inspire children to love wildlife and take action to protect and maintain it.
Extensive work with North Devon's Culm grasslands has resulted in at least 9 new populations of the threatened Marsh Fritillary butterfly and the recreation of habitat vital to barn owls, otters and other iconic Devon species.
DWT is part of The Wildlife Trusts, a federation of 46 county and country-based charities, supported by the Royal Society for Wildlife Trusts.
Our purpose can be summarised by the four statements below:
- Create safe havens in which wildlife can thrive and from which it can spread
- Stand up for wildlife under threat and bring back wildlife that's been lost
- Inspire love and care for the natural environment, and enable more people to experience, enjoy and understand it
- Enrich and enhance our knowledge of wildlife, natural systems and the fundamental benefits it brings to society
Devon Wildlife Trust is a charity that relies on membership, legacy gifts and donations.
