With your help we are able to make monthly donations to the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity to really make a difference for children living with a life threatening or terminal illnesses.
About the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity
The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity support families with a seriously ill child. The support can range from helping to arrange hospital appointments, resbite at home and emotional support for the whole family.
Support for Parents
Emotional and practical support is given to parents who have a child with a serious illness. Family support workers can provide sibling support by maintaining school attendance and arranging days out. Provide resbite, cooked meals and stories at home. Help to organise hospital appointments and explain illnesses and treatment. They can also bereavement support for the whole family 24/7.
Support for Young People
Family support workers are experienced in the emotional and practical needs of a young person suffering with a life threatening or terminal illness. They can attend hospital appointments, be there to listen when times are tough and can support siblings.
Support for Children
Support for children can involve helping them to express feelings by talking or through painting, doing something fun or making memory boxes. Support workers can also help to explain illnesses to siblings.
