Reduchol – Cholesterol Complex
Reduchol, our own unique formula, contains Red Yeast Rice extract (providing 3% Monacolin K), Coenzyme Q10 (a powerful antioxidant) and Policosanol (providing 60% octacosanol). These ingredients work synergistically to support cholesterol levels.
* 2 capsules contain 3mg of Monacolin K. This is the highest safe dosage, do not exceed 2 capsules daily.
Tested to contain no more than 50 ppb citrinin.

Important Note: Whilst red yeast rice is a natural ingredient it should be noted that monacolin K, the main active compound in red yeast rice, can cause similar side effects to statins, particularly lovastatin. For example, muscle pain and weakness and gastrointestinal disruption.
However, red yeast rice extract’s synergistic actions could help to avoid the side effects similar to statins when taken at the correct dosage. It is, therefore, vital to know the monacolin K content of your red yeast rice supplement.

What can Red Yeast Rice Do?
- Red yeast rice extract is produced by fermenting rice with a type of yeast called Monascus purpureus.

What Can Coenzyme Q10 do?
- CoQ10 is an antioxidant and is used by cells to produce energy.
- It is produced naturally in the body, but levels reduce as we age.

What Can Policosanol do?
- Policosanol is a waxy substance extracted from some plants such as sugar cane.
- It has been shown to lower LDL (“bad” cholesterol) and raise HDL (“good” cholesterol), as well as improve blood flow.
- It has also been shown to have multiple health-improving properties, such as anti-ageing and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection.
