How to Take Care of Your Cutlery
Cleaning
- Bamboo cutlery can be washed with hot, soapy water
- For a natural wash use three tbsp. of white vinegar per one cup of water and dry with a cloth
- If a food odour persists rub down with a piece of lemon
- Bamboo does not absorb water so will not harbour bacteria
Maintaining
- Rub with food-grade mineral oil when they look or feel dry
- Let the oil soak into the material for a couple of hours before using
- Oils, ex. Butcher block oil, walnut oil, or coconut oil, olive oil
