We have recently switched suppliers for our Vitamin D3. Instead of tablets we are now selling them as capsules so they will look different to the Vitamin D3 you are used to buying from us.
Ideal for vegetarians and vegans, this Wholefood Vitamin D3 comprises a natural plant base of algae. The high strength capsules provide 2500iu per capsule.
Dosage
- 1-2 capsules daily. As vitamin D3 is fat soluble we advise you take it with food containing some fat.
Not suitable for children under the age of 11.
Ingredients
- Vegan Non-GMO Algae powder matrix 25mg: providing Vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol 2500iu
- Rice Bran 475mg
Other Ingredients: Corn syrup solids, arabic gum, medium chain triglycerides, silicon dioxide, sodium ascorbate, D alpha tocopherol.
Suitable for: Vegans and vegetarians.
Non GM & Free From: Wheat, gluten, yeast, dairy, colours, flavours and preservatives.

Ideal for vegetarians and vegans, this Wholefood Vitamin D3 comprises a natural plant base of algae. High Potency capsules contain 1250% RDA per tablet (62.5µg)
- Made from a Vitamin D3-rich algae plant base, suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The algae (water) is cultivated and harvested within Europe
- 60 capsules represents a 60-day supply with one tablet providing 62.5µg (2500IU)Vitamin D3 at 1250% of RDA (which is currently 5µg/200IU in the UK)
- Vitamin D is available in different forms but the D3 form is the most bioavailable
- There is emerging evidence that the commonly recommended daily amounts are far too low. It is now thought that we need at least 50ug (2000IU)/day for health and this is the newly established RDA in Canada
- Frequently referred to as the 'Sunshine Vitamin', Vitamin D can be synthesised by the skin on exposure to sunlight
In a recent study from the University of Surrey, it was found that "vitamin D3 is twice as effective in raising levels of the vitamin in the body than vitamin D2" and "Those who consume D3 through fish, eggs or vitamin D3-containing supplements are twice as likely to raise their vitamin D status than when consuming vitamin D2-rich foods such as mushrooms, vitamin D2-fortified bread or vitamin D2-containing supplements, helping to improve their long term health".
