Serrapeptase - A Protein Destroying Enzyme
- Can dissolve dead tissue, including cysts, arterial plaque and scar tissue
- Can reduce inflammation
- Can reduce mucus viscosity (mucolytic)
- Can reduce risk of blood clots (fibrinolytic)
- 2-3 capsules a day.
We supply Serrapeptase in two strengths; 80,000IU and 250,000IU. The maximum dosage is considered to be 250,000IU, so these capsules are taken one a day. The 80,000IU are recommended at 2-3 a day, reducing as necessary over time.
Serrapeptase capsules should be taken on an empty stomach (30 minutes before or 2 hours after food).
Our capsules are manufactured from HPMC, a plant cellulose, suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and are formulated to resist stomach acid, thus eliminating the need for enteric coating.
Ingredients for 80,000IU
- Serrapeptase at 2,000IU per mg 40mg
- Rice Bran 415mg
Ingredients for 250,000IU
- Serrapeptase at 2,000IU per mg 125mg
- Rice Bran 330mg
- Serrapeptase may cause vomiting for a small number of people.
- The fibrinolytic properties may affect blood clotting so consult your doctor, particularly if you are taking blood-thinning drugs.
What does Serrapeptase Help With?
Twenty-three scientific studies have discovered that Serrapeptase can be used to treat:
- Heart disease
- Periodontal (gum) disease
- Blocked fallopian tubes
- Liver disease
Serrapeptase is a proteolytic (protein destroying) enzyme found in bacteria native to the digestive system of the silkworm, which it uses to dissolve and escape its cocoon (Note that this enzyme is now grown in the laboratory and is not obtained from silkworms). This enzyme breaks down non-living tissue, such as cysts, plaque coating the arterial walls, scar tissue and inflammation. The protein is dissolved by the enzyme and broken down into amino acids and proteins, which the body can use. Arterial plaque (atherosclerosis) and heart disease are dangerous and potentially deadly. Serrapeptase can reduce blockages, reducing the risk of blood clots and promote normal circulation and heart function.
Serrapeptase can reduce the viscosity of mucus, which in turn will reduce sinus congestion and phlegm build up. This may have highly beneficial effects for those suffering with the lung symptoms of cystic fibrosis.
Serrapeptase can reduce inflammation and the associated pain and swelling, post-surgery inflammation in particular. Serrapeptase is an immunologically active enzyme. It inhibits the ability of bacteria molecules to stick together effectively and enhances the effect of antibiotics. It is often used for trauma recovery, post-operation recovery and chronic illness management.
Other inflammation, pain and joint issues may be helped by Serrapeptase, particularly fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, superficial thrombophlebitis, fibrin clots and ENT complaints.
