"The FSA is not aware of a significant history of consumption of Serratiopeptidase in the UK and EU prior to 15 May 1997. They therefore consider it as novel under the Novel Food Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 . Any supplier would need to put the product through a mandatory pre-market safety assessment (unless evidence of a history of consumption can be provided). The food could then be authorised under the Novel Foods Regulation and legally placed on the market."
Serrapeptase 250,000SPU
Serrapeptase is a protein destroying enzyme. We offer 250,000SPU strength capsules, which is considered to be the maximum dosage and only one capsules a day is required.
Our capsules are manufactured from HPMC, a plant cellulose, suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and are formulated to be 'Delayed Release'.
Dosage
- 1 capsules a day.
- Serrapeptase capsules should be taken on an empty stomach (30 minutes before or 2 hours after food).
Ingredients
- Serrapeptase (at 2,000SPU per mg) 125mg
- Rice Bran 360mg
- Delayed release HMPC capsule (hypromellose, gellan gum)
Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Gluten-free.

- The fibrinolytic properties may affect blood clotting so consult your doctor, particularly if you are taking blood-thinning drugs.
